At Dhana we donโt make a big deal out of our commitment to the environment. We believe that sustainability should be an industry standard across the packaged-product industry (both food and gifts). We invite you to help make the upcoming holiday season eco-friendly in every way.
How to Spot an Eco-Friendly Brand
Since inception, Dhana has been plastic-free and zero-waste, because we want to be part of the solution, not the problem!
To date, weโve only worked with printers using (at least part) post-consumer materials and vegetarian ink.
Where our supplies arrive in big plastic canisters, we ensure that our relationship with each supplier is good enough to return plastic packaging for refills. Very large boxes of plastic tubs and bottles are returned.
All of our packaging is either recyclable or compostable.
Even Dhanaโs product formulas, theyโre 100% natural and biodegradable.
As hard as we try, plastic bags and bubble wrap do leak into day-to-day operations but are quickly set to local recycling services. Bubble wrap, likewise, is promptly reused when we ship wholesale to overseas customers.
What is it that you look for in the way of sustainable or eco-friendly with the brands you shop from? Comment below and we’ll see if we can infuse new ideas into Dhana’s commitment to creating a greener planet.
My Eco-Friendly Start
The commitment to environmental awareness and maintenance was instilled in me at a young age. As a child and teenager, my Mum coordinated a monthly postcard campaign, where a hot topic was share with subscribers. They could make a difference by writing to a politician to express their views. All it took was a stamp and the few minutes it took for people to put together some thoughts with the suggested text.
Speaking of stampsโฆ that was my job, to stamp and label the postcards sent to subscribers monthly after the wordsmiths created and produced the content. So, with that, being eco-friendly in every way or whenever possible, was drilled into my psyche from a young age.
Listen to Dhana Packaging
While most of our soaps are packaged directly into recyclable cardboard, whimsical seasonal Say It with Suds offers are first placed in a clear corn-starch-film bag, which is garden compostable, and then into green boxes. You can easily tell when companies use plastic vs the environmental alternative.

We challenge you, in the midst of the holiday shopping frenzy, to seek and support eco-friendly options. It’s up to each of us to choose brands upholding the best outcome for ourselves, our gift recipients and the planet we share.
Wishing you a safe and happy holiday (shopping) season!
